St Andrews University Gliding Club
The
St. Andrews University Gliding Club concentrates on facilitating the
opportunity for students of the university to experience gliding trial flights
and makes use of the Scottish Gliding Centre's Portmoak facilities through an
agreement with the SGC which includes club membership for pre-solo pilots.
Student members of the club have access to all of the facilities of the SGC
including its instructors, gliders and clubroom. The club has been in existence
since 1989 with a few stops and restarts due to the annual turnover of the
student population
